I’m so pumped to be announcing the first personal growth challenge in this series — 30 Active Days. The title is pretty self-explanatory but there’s a few stipulations or conditions, if you will, that I want to share. Keep in mind, these are the “rules” I’m playing by, but this is a PERSONAL growth challenge so be sure to set realistic, attainable guidelines for yourself and your life.
20 mins of intentional activity, every day, for 30 days in a row.
It doesn’t matter if I’m sick, tired, lazy, hungover, or just don’t want to. I will push myself, every damn day.
First and foremost, I’ve never been intentionally active for this many consecutive days. I’ll walk 3-5 days one week then start pms-ing and not walk for a whole week. I want to see if I’m capable. Can my body take it?
Secondly, I’m hoping it helps me develop a more consistent routine. Everyone needs a rest day but it’s called a rest day, not a rest weekend.
I’m not going to go into detail about the benefits of physical activity, it’s common knowledge. I will, however, invite you to join me in this endeavor. I’ve created a facebook group for anyone who wants to join me and will be using the hashtag #30ActiveDays whenever I post on social media. I encourage you to do the same so I and others can show our support. Let’s see what we’re made of!
